Website Terms & Conditions
Updated September 10, 2020
Reweave, inc. (“Reweave,” “Better World Ed,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) welcomes you. We invite you to access and use our online services (“Services”), which are made available to you through a variety of portals, mobile apps, and platforms, including https://betterworlded.org (the “Website”) and collectively with any such other platforms, (the “Platform”).
We provide our Services to Visitors and Registered Users (as defined below) subject to the following Terms of Use, which may be updated by us from time to time without notice to you. The Terms of Use are a binding agreement between you and Better World Ed. Your access to and continued use of certain areas within the Website located at https://betterworlded.org (including any successor sites), including any portions of the Website that require registration, constitutes your reading, understanding and acceptance, without limitation, of the terms and conditions of the Terms of Use. You agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy, which is hereby incorporated by reference (collectively, the “Agreement”). If you do not agree to any of these terms, then please do not use the Services.
Capitalized terms not defined in these Terms of Use shall have the meaning set forth in our Privacy Policy.
1. Description and Use of Services
Better World Ed creates and curates content that make social, emotional, and academic learning more effective, real-world, and human. We create videos, stories, lesson plans, and more that help anyone in the world engage with new cultures, perspectives, stories, and ways of living in a way that helps us all build new understanding and curiosity for one another, ourselves, and our world.
We provide Visitors and Registered Users with access to the Services as described in this Agreement.
Visitors. Visitors, as the term implies, are people who don’t register with us, but want to view various webpages and see what the Services are all about. No login is required for Visitors.
Registered Users. Login information is required for all Registered Users, who are able to access and utilize the same functions as Visitors, and the functions listed based on their membership subscription at https://betterworlded.org/join. All funds from registered users’ contributions go towards continuing and growing the mission of Reweave, inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
Pricing Terms and Conditions for Registered Users
In case you decide to upgrade to a Better World Ed paid account and to provide Better World Ed with your payment account information, you hereby agree to the following payment terms and conditions:
Paid Accounts as a Registered User
Better World Ed offers you the option of upgrading your account to a membership. If you choose to upgrade, your account will be converted to a Paid Account as per the description on betterworlded.org/join. Discount codes, unless otherwise stated, are applicable for one year of membership, and renewals thereafter will no longer apply the discount code.
Better World Ed accepts credit cards and certain other specified payment methods and will automatically charge your payment instrument on file before upgrading your account. In the event we are not able to charge your payment instrument for applicable charges, we may suspend your account until due amounts are paid. Additionally, if your Better World Ed balance is not paid within seven (7) days after Better World Ed provides you with notification that your account is in arrears, Better World Ed reserves the right to use our discretion to cancel your plan.
Billing
The fees for your Paid Account will be billed from the date you convert to a Paid Account and on each renewal thereafter unless and until you cancel your account. Better World Ed will automatically bill your credit card on the calendar day corresponding to the commencement of your Paid Account. All fees and charges are pre-paid and nonrefundable, and there are no refunds or credits for partially used periods. If payment is not received from the credit card issuer, you agree to pay all amounts due upon demand. You must provide current, complete and accurate billing and credit card information, and you agree to pay all costs of collection, including attorney’s fees and costs, on any outstanding balance. In certain instances, the issuer of the credit card may charge a foreign transaction fee or related charges, which you shall be responsible to pay. If you are paying offline by check or purchase order, your membership will be active for one year from the date of payment, and will not auto-renew or renew until a new payment is made for the following year(s).
Cancelling Your Account
You may cancel your Better World Ed Paid Account at any time, and cancellation will be effective immediately. Your Better World Ed Paid Account will continue in effect unless and until you cancel your Paid Account or we terminate it. You must cancel your Paid Account before it renews in order to avoid billing of the next period’s fees to your credit card. You can do this quickly in your account profile on the Better World Ed account website, from your membership area. Should you elect to cancel your Paid Account, please note that you will not be issued a refund for any previous payments.
