About Us:

Better World Ed is developing an innovative educational app where kids and curious aliens embark on journeys to explore real-world stories and learn about our world. Help us bring this vision to life!

Role:

We need a creative Freelance Designer to lead the design of our new EduStorytelling kids app. As the founding designer, you’ll create engaging interfaces and experiences using Figma.

The premise so far: kids go on a global learning journey with fun, goofy, insightful alien guides visiting from their planet to become curious, empathetic, and Earth aware. Live action stories woven with animation, thoughtful question prompts, and IRL activity ideas to take the learning into the real world.

Responsibilities:

– Design user interfaces and experiences in Figma.
– Create captivating designs for the app’s interactive stories.
– Collaborate with our animator and a developer (actively hiring for developer).
– Conduct user research and iterate on designs.

You Are:

– Experienced in digital design with a strong portfolio.
– Proficient in Figma and UI/UX principles.
– A proactive self-starter who communicates well and thrives independently. Truly. Because we have been making stories and curriculum for classrooms, and this is our first foray into app world. You’ll have to lead and iterate fast.
